The events of the last book, the Swords of Ithilian, are as follows.
Five people, more specifically, and
elvish girl, three female humans, and a male human, (their names in
order: Ailanthiel, Korrigan, Celestina, Katichat, and Elladan) were
gifted with incredible powers. Ailanthiel could control water and act
as a ‘mirror’. Korrigan was a living inferno with a fire Talent and the
ability to morph into a phoenix, Celestina was a healer with power over
lightening, Katichat was a dark mage with power over wind, and Elladan
was a prophetic ice Talente´.
Destined for a greater purpose, the
group was sent out by Shadow Mage Pytha Ivy to kill a horrible
creature: Surskit the Red Dragon.
Along the way to this inevitable
conflict, they met Bendoc the Manipulator, Leghul the Dark Priest, the
green chipmunk Tad, and Ailathiel’s uncle, the king of Cirdania. They
also met Fury the Red Dragon, Leng and Althena the Dockwatchers, Zircon
the Holy Mage, Ereis the pixie, and at last the master of Taintan
himself- Surskit.
To slay the dragon, they were entrusted with the service of five blades: The Swords of Ithilian.
Each blade matched the Talente´s’
powers- Elladan’s blade Avallon, is ice-based, Korrigan’s blade Kyael,
is fiery, Ailanthiel’s blade Aquasius, is water-based, Celestina’s
blade Thundera is lightening-based, and Katichat’s blade Maelstrom is
wind-based.
But the swords are not complete.
Originally an amulet was imbedded into the hilts of each of the swords.
The gems were based according to the sword’s power- A diamond for
Avallon, a ruby for Kyael, a sapphire for Aquasius, a peridot for
Maelstrom, and a topaz for Thundera. Without these amulets, the swords,
as well as the Talente´s, could never reach their full potential.
